A Drawing A Day, 2.26.2008

I am not feeling it today. I got really frustrated with this one today. I need to remember that I am not going to like everything I do. One thing I do like is the time limit. I worked on this for about an hour, but felt good that I had spent time trying before I gave up, but I felt ok stopping as well. That's it for today.

But you should come back to working like this--I love this!! It reminds me of summers in New England with the hard-packed ice cream. Lovely work! Even if you weren't feeling it ;-)

i think it's hard to not like everything you create. i think it makes total sense. but it's also very smart to realize when to stop and i think this drawing is perfectly fine. i like that you didn't go overboard (as i might have when frustration hits). also, i value the time "restraint" a lot although i don't practice it as often as i should. i remember david kelley's class "flatphile" at muz school and we had a 1 in x 2 in piece and we had to work on it for 3 hours. great revelations there.
